About CDJTA: 

CSIR has instituted the prestigious CSIR Diamond Jubilee Technology Award (CDJTA) to recognize and honor outstanding, technologically innovative development that has helped to enhance India's competitiveness in the global market. This annual award is the hallmark for superiority and distinction in technology development in the country. The award carries a cash prize of Rs.10 lakh, a citation and a plaque.

CSIR has sought nominations for CDJTA-2020 through a press advertisement, which has appeared in the leading national dailies on June 25, 2020 and the same has also been displayed on CSIR website www.csir.res.in.

Eligibility:

Nominees must be:

1. An Indian team, a company or an organization. In case of teams, Indian citizenship is a pre-requisite. For a company / organization, more than 50 percent of its shares or assets should be owned by the citizens of India / Indian entities.

2. The technological innovation must have originated in India or if it has been developed elsewhere, it must have a significant and highly innovative Indian component.

Criteria for the Award:

The technological innovation should

1. Create a new market or significantly develop an existing market, with demonstrated competitive advantage and large cross section of users / consumer response;

2. Compete successfully internationally on the basis of novelty, price, quality, functionality and reliability;

3. Help raise capital or enhance the value / brand equity or image of the company / organization;

4. Promote employment in the country; and

5. Contribute benefits to the community generally and help raise the standards of quality of life of the community.

Prize: Rupees 10 Lakh, a citation and a plaque
